Over the past weeks, we’ve been optimizing the main board to make it more compact and more efficient, while keeping the full processing power needed for high-resolution stereo capture.
Heat dissipation has also been a key focus. Sustained 4K-per-eye VR180 capture demands a lot from the electronics, so we’re refining the thermal design so the camera stays stable during long recording sessions.
On the optical side, after testing several sets of 180° lenses, we’re now narrowing down our final choice, balancing sharpness, field of view and stereo alignment for the best possible immersive image.
Each of these steps brings the VR.Cam 03 closer to its final design.
